About

The dialysis gal blog is dedicated to those who are facing dialysis now or in the future and the ones who love and care for someone in kidney failure. Information here is based on my experience and the questions I have asked, conversations I have overheard and articles I’ve read. As the rate of diabetes increases, so does the rate of kidney failure. Diabetes and hypertension, or high blood pressure, frequently lead to kidney failure. In my case, diabetes is not a part of my prognoses, but I have had high blood pressure since my early 20s.

Please comment, ask questions, and share what you have learned. This blog is devoted to education and sharing things I learned the hard way or wish I had known earlier. My goal is for this to be a beneficial place for uplifting commentary. It is for those affected by kidney disease, personally or indirectly.
