Author Lisa Dunn guest posts about “Heir of Koradin”

Today I am pleased to introduce my friend Lisa Dunn and her books “Grit of Berth and Stone” and “Heir of Koradin”. These Young Adult fantasies are wonderful tales, well told, and more thought provoking with each read. Every name, every character, every word has meaning. If you don’t know a word, like the name of the horse on the first page, do yourself a favor. Look up the words. Learn them, see how they make make the writing even more exceptional than one notices at first blush. I am embarrassed to tell you that I looked up several words. I do whenever I pick up the Chasmaria series. And I am better read because of it!

Below, please read the book summary for Heir of Koradin and order the e-book or the hard copy. You’ll enjoy it until the third in the series comes out! Then you’ll read “Grit” and “Heir of Koradin” again! Be sure to register for a free book and join the author for a Q&A session later this month. ~Beth

Dagger of Willow and Strike has waited a lifetime to return to the village of his birth. He’s been promised the throne of Koradin, but getting captured by his treacherous sire wasn’t part of the plan. Dagger needs a mir

acle to turn his childhood dreams into reality—And Grit of Berth and Stone might be that miracle.

Unfortunately for him, Grit’s stuck in the rival village of Thresh, and she’s in way over her head. Having bluffed her way into commanding an army of incompetents, she’s useless to Dagger if her new recruits don’t learn the r

ight end of a sword. To make matters worse, Dagger’s sire seeks Grit’s life, and there’s no telling when he’ll return to Thresh to finish what he started when he killed her dame.

But freedom calls through shifting alliances, and neither Dagger’s disillusionment nor Grit’s doubt can keep the armies of Koradin and Thresh from war.

About dialysisgal

When I joined the 450,000 Americans on dialysis, I wondered what "normal" would be. Would people stare at my access and ask what was wrong? In this blog, I hope to save other patients and their families from the difficulties I have faced. I want to share my experiences, what I learned, had to ask and was shocked to find. I am not a medical professional, but I hope we can have a conversation to help you better understand what you or someone you love with chronic kidney disease (CKD) might expect while living with dialysis.
